In their own words
These are accounts from real clients about their experience working with us. We share them because they describe, better than we can, what it is actually like to work with Phuengpha Legal.

How families describe their experience
Aranya Pattanapong
Bangkok · Initial Consultation
I had no idea where to begin and was honestly quite apprehensive. The first appointment was much more relaxed than I expected. They just listened, then explained what my options were without pushing me in any direction. The written summary they gave me afterwards was genuinely useful — I kept re-reading it at home.

Khunying Lertmanee
Chatuchak, Bangkok · Parenting Arrangement
We worked through a parenting arrangement that I was quite worried about. Kamon was very patient with us — and with the pace of everything. There were moments where I had to take a step back, and that was completely fine with them. In the end the arrangement we reached felt right for our children, which is what matters.

David Hartley
Expatriate, Bangkok · Cooperative Agreement
As someone who was not familiar with Thai law at all, I needed someone who could explain things from first principles. Siriporn was excellent at that. The cooperative agreement we drafted was written in a way both my former partner and I could actually understand, not just sign without knowing what we were agreeing to.

Nara Thongchai
Lad Phrao · Initial Consultation
I came to a first consultation just to understand what my options were. That was all. They were clear that there was no expectation for me to do anything further, and I believed them. I ended up returning a few months later because I felt I could trust the practice. That first impression mattered.

Sunee Rojanasakul
Chatuchak · Parenting Arrangement
The thing I most remember is that they never seemed to be in a hurry. Every appointment, no matter how short, felt like it was just for us. They kept me informed without overwhelming me with information, and they were honest about how long things might take rather than being overly optimistic.

Peter and Wan Mitcham
Bangkok · Cooperative Agreement
My partner and I approached Phuengpha together. We had already talked things through between us and just needed help putting it properly on paper. The process was straightforward and never felt adversarial. The resulting document was clear enough that we both understood exactly what we had agreed to.

Case Studies
How we helped three families
These three accounts describe the journey from first contact to a workable outcome. Names and details have been changed.
Case Study 01
A first conversation that led somewhere unexpected
The situation
A client came in for an initial consultation with no intention of proceeding further. They simply wanted to understand what their legal position was before making any decisions.
What we did
We listened, explained the relevant Thai law in plain terms, and provided a written summary. There was no pressure for the client to return or take any further action.
The outcome
Four months later the client returned, saying the written summary had helped them feel ready to take a next step. We then assisted with a cooperative parenting arrangement.
"Knowing I had the written summary meant I could return to the information in my own time. That mattered more than I expected."
Timeline: Initial consultation, then 6 weeks for arrangement
Case Study 02
Two parents, three children, and a shared aim
The situation
Two parents with three children of different ages needed to establish a workable parenting schedule and clarify financial contributions. They were on reasonable terms but uncertain of the legal process.
What we did
We prepared separately with each parent, then worked through the arrangement together in a structured, unhurried way. We explained what Thai family courts typically consider and helped them reach a schedule built around the children's needs.
The outcome
A documented parenting arrangement and financial schedule both parents understood and agreed to, completed over eight weeks without court proceedings.
"We got through something I thought would be much harder. The process was clear and the children weren't disrupted."
Timeline: 8 weeks from first appointment to signed arrangement
Case Study 03
A cross-border situation that needed patient handling
The situation
An expatriate client was uncertain whether Thai law applied to their family situation, and needed clear guidance before making any decisions about how to proceed.
What we did
We carried out a careful initial consultation to establish the applicable jurisdiction, explained what Thai law did and did not govern in their situation, and drafted a family agreement accordingly.
The outcome
A cooperative family agreement that both parties understood, plus clear advice on the steps needed for the document to be recognised in both relevant jurisdictions.
"I finally understood what actually applied to us. That was the starting point for everything else."
Timeline: 10 weeks from initial consultation to completed agreement
